Dr. Duc Nguyen
Born in Philadelphia, Dr. Duc Nguyen is a graduate of NYU College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he furthered his training with a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. It was there that he received the prestigious Resident of the Year award. After completing his education in New York, Dr. Nguyen moved to the San Diego area and has been practicing here ever since.
Dr. Nguyen is dedicated to treating all his patients with respect for their individual oral health needs. He respects your time and wishes and believes that we can best help you achieve optimal oral health through mutual respect and understanding. Dr. Nguyen practices all phases of dentistry, focusing on comprehensive family dental care. He practices with a conservative mindset and an emphasis on saving teeth.
Dr. Nguyen is a big fan of NFL football, and roots for his hometown, the Philadelphia Eagles. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, cooking, and binge-watching TV shows. But his favorite activity is spending time with his wife Mirna and daughter, Ava.

Dr. Brian Casciari
Dr. Brian Casciari graduated with highest distinction from Indiana University Dental School in 1982. Prior to that, he received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Purdue University. Dr. Casciari completed an additional year of training in a general dental residency program at the La Jolla Veteran Administration Hospital. He has practiced dentistry since 1982, establishing this practice in 1984. Dr. Casciari is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the San Diego County Dental Society. Dr Casciari is honored to have been selected as one of San Diego's Top Dentists, as seen in San Diego Magazine from 2009 through 2017.
After many years serving as part of the Rancho Penasquitos dental team, Dr. Casciari's wife, Jan, recently retired.She and Dr. Casciari have two daughters; Anna, who is a graduate of Gonzaga University, and Bianca, a graduate of UCLA. Dr. Casciari enjoys many outdoor adventures but has a particular fondness for cycling.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kate has been a hygienist for 30 years, graduating from Harper College, IL in 1988 and became a full-time periodontal hygienist. Prior to hygiene, she was a dental assistant in a multi- specialist office for 13 years after graduating Mandle School in NYC 1975.
Kate updates her hygiene skills several times each year to better serve her patients. Kate believes patient comfort comes first. Kate received awards from The Academy of Dentistry for the Handicapped 1988, St. Vincent de Paul Dental Clinic and Share the Care in 2013. She’s lived in San Francisco Bay Area and Evanston, IL 20 years each, has two sons in and one husband and likes to bring hope and a smile to all her patients.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Cheryl graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and has been practicing dental hygiene for thirty plus years. The main focus of her job is educating patients to improve not only their oral health, but to attain a sense of total well-being. In addition, the opportunity to establish continuing relationships with her patients is a crucial element in the enjoyment of her chosen profession. A warm and personal approach to each patient is oftentimes the outcome of the long-term interactions she has fostered.
In her free time, Cheryl loves motorcycling with her husband, Mark, to Temecula, Palm Springs, and the nearby beach communities. Yoga and Zumba classes help keep her healthy and are a great outlet for relaxing. Mark and Cheryl have taken cooking classes and utilize the new recipes for small dinners. She has two grown children; a daughter recently married and a son employed in a local jewelry/antique store. Cheryl also has two stepchildren, a daughter and a son.
